Tectyl coatings for storage, transport and industry

Tectyl 506 is a solvent cutback, wax base, general purpose, corrosion preventive compound suitable for the widest range of application requirements for vehicle rustproofing, protection of machinery and parts in storage. Tectyl 506 protects parts in indoor and outdoor storage as well as domestic and international shipments. Tectyl 506 cures to a dark amber colored, waxy, translucent, firm film.

Tectyl 506-WD is solvent cutback, wax base, thixotropic, dark amber, water displacing corrosion preventive compound. Tectyl 506-WD is recommended for long-term protection of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, as an underbody coating of autos, trucks, trailers, etc. Tectyl 506-WD cures to a relatively firm, dark amber, resilient film. Tectyl 506-WD is the Water Displacing version of Tectyl 506.

Tectyl 511-M is a solvent cutback, water displacing, oil-based corrosion preventive compound. Tectyl 511-M meets the performance requirements of Military Specification MIL-PRF-16173E Grade 5, Class 1. Tectyl 511-M is designed to protect ferrous and non-ferrous industrial parts and transportation components during covered shipment and inside storage. Tectyl 511-M cures to a light amber colored, transparent oily film.

Tectyl 5506W-I is a waterborne, quick drying, general purpose polymer/ wax-based corrosion preventive compound. Tectyl 5506W-I is excellent for long term protection of metallic surfaces against corrosion in either indoor or outdoor exposure, like machinery, machine rolls/tools, dies, tubing, and spare parts. Tectyl 5506W-I cures to a clear-light yellow/amber colored, translucent firm and elastic film.

Tectyl 502-C is a solvent cutback, soft wax base, corrosion preventive compound. Tectyl 502-C is designed to protect the insides of gearboxes, without removal after installation. Tectyl 502-C is designed to protect parts in indoor and covered storage and shipment. Tectyl 502-C is designed to protect ferrous and non-ferrous parts for indoor or covered storage and during shipment. Tectyl 502-C cures to a dark amber, transparent, soft greasy film.

Tectyl 127 CGW is a solvent cutback, wax based, thixotropic, gelled, aluminum pigmented corrosion preventive compound. Tectyl 127 CGW can been used to give long term protection of metal surfaces against corrosion in weathering, moist and salt corrosive atmospheres. Tectyl 127 CGW cures to a firm, non-tacky, resilient, tough film with aluminum color.

Tectyl 283-S-17 is a solvent cutback, water displacing, oil-based corrosion preventive compound, lubricant and penetrant. The cured film is an ultralight, transparent, non-staining oil. Tectyl 283-S-17 is used to protect industrial parts during long-term indoor or covered storage, and during domestic shipment.

Tectyl 300G Black is a waterborne corrosion preventive coating. The cured film is hard, flexible and has a black appearance. Tectyl 300G Black provides an effective barrier against corrosive environments for ferrous and non-ferrous fabrications and industrial components.

TECTYL 3217 E has been specially designed for use as an environmentally friendly protector of unfinished metal and industrial finishes. The dry film is tack free and prevents dust build up. TECTYL 3217 E is excellent for use on aluminum and galvanized surfaces as protector. Eliminates water spotting caused by acidic rain or hard water. TECTYL 3217 E cures to a transparent, resilient, firm film.

Tectyl TM 400-C is a solvent cutback, wax base, corrosion preventive compound. Tectyl TM 400-C is designed to protect metal surfaces against corrosion in long-term indoor or short- term outdoor exposure and during domestic and overseas shipment. Tectyl TM 400-C cures to a dark amber colored, waxy, transparent, firm film.

Tectyl 5401W RC (Rust Converter) is a milky white-cream liquid, based on water reducible chelating polymers. It does not contain phosphoric acid. Tectyl 5401W RC can be used on rusted steel and sandblasted steel as a pre-coating preparation. It is compatible with most paint types and coating systems, such as alkyd systems, modified alkyds, chlorinated rubber, epoxies, polyurethanes, and vinyl’s. The product is non-hazardous, non-flammable. Tectyl 5401W RC can be applied on all rusted steel surfaces before painting or repainting when preparation by sandblasting is a problem, e.g. cargo holds, decks, hatch covers, superstructures, pipelines, winches, rails, etc. Tectyl 5401W RC can also be used on sandblasted surfaces to prevent or passivate ‘flash rust.’ It’s also particularly suitable for use in the highly corrosive marine atmosphere.

Tectyl 846-K-19 is a solvent cutback, wax based, general purpose, corrosion preventive compound which meets the performance requirements of Military Specification MIL-PRF-16173D, Grade 4, Class 1. Tectyl 846-K-19 is excellent for long term protection of metallic surfaces against corrosion in indoor and outdoor exposure during domestic and international shipments. Tectyl 846-K-19 is recommended for protection of general machinery, machine rolls/tools, automatic parts, dies, tubing, and spare parts. Tectyl 846-K-19 cures to a dark amber colored, waxy, translucent, firm film.

Tectyl 892-D is a solvent black cutback, extreme corrosion preventive compound with cures to a firm film. Tectyl 892-D provides long-term indoor and outdoor protection for metallic surfaces as well as for domestic and international shipments. Tectyl 892-D meets Military Specifications MIL-PRF-16173E, Grade 1, Class I, for zinc, aluminum, and steel.
